Tiyesha N. DeCosta, Esq., received a Bachelor of Science degree, with a minor in Finance from La Salle University, in Philadelphia, PA. Upon graduation, she went on to work in various small and large financial institutions, including Bank of America, in New York City where as a Vice President she was responsible for analyzing and reviewing the financial strength and lending agreements for business banking, middle market, and large corporates. Business is in her blood. Attorney DeCosta went to law school in the evening while working full-time and raising a family. While in law school, Attorney DeCosta started her own business, helping individuals who were awarded a judgment collect on the judgment. One of her most rewarding experiences was when she was able to enforce a 6 figure judgment stemming from an auto accident in the 1990's. The debtor came from a rich family and to avoid payment, he moves to Switzerland for several years. Upon his return, he remained low key. However, Attorney DeCosta was able to locate assets. Attorney DeCosta filed the proper paperwork with the courts and was able to secure the court-awarded funds for the aggrieved party. Helping people is in her blood. While in law school, she became a divorcee and handled her divorce, custody and child support matter without counsel. She learned the "book" stuff while in law school. And while in law school, she took a practicum course where she had to prosecute a husband for contempt. Attorney DeCosta prevailed. Divorce law is in her blood. We are here to help!
