"WORST LAWYER EVER! Charged me thousands of dollars for an open and shut case. Told me that its not a big deal for my ex wife to smoke marijuana and nicotine in the same room as my child as well as sell illegal drugs around the child. He didnt do anything but sit back and collect a check. I ended up having to call CPS who said that there was no reason it should have turned out the way it did. When i told stephen i called CPS he acted like it made him mad or something almost like i put a end to his gravy train. He never held the opposing party in contempt like i instructed him to do. This man is a waste of time and money. He will try to butter you up like all lawyers will but its all part of the his act. Ps. He used to be an actor. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!"

"I hired Mr. Rue after my former attorney (yes my attorney) and her paralegal made up a complete lie to get me arrested in New Orleans. The process to get me to New Orleans was arduous, but i was picked up within a day and bailed out of jail the following day thanks to Gavin. I know Mr. Rue from my days in New Orleans. I look forward to working with his firm. The charges in Baton Rouge thay she filed against me are likely being dismissed so I am filing a complaint against her. I hope to be able to work with the firm for her legal malpractice. I came home and there are multiple clients with the same story as i have with the same lawyer."

"I hired Steven Rue to defend me in a criminal case. The witness recanted her testimony and Steven told me he would call her to the stand. Her testimony would have kept me out of prison. The day of court she waited downstairs for 5 hours and he never called her to testify on my behalf. I paid him $5,000.00 and he did absolutely nothing. I ended up serving 19 months in prison due to his incompetence. Do not hire this attorney. He refused to give me a refund as well. I have filed a formal bar complaint against him as well."

"I hired Steven Rue to serve as co counsel and defend me in a criminal case. He said he would examine the victim on the stand but he did not. She recanted her testimony and waited downstairs in the court for 5 hours while Steven sat in the courtroom and did nothing. I paid him $5000.00 and ended up doing 19 months in prison due to his incompetence. He refused to give me a refund. Do not hire this attorney or you may serve time in prison."
