"I had a deeply disappointing experience with MARIN, BARRETT & MURPHY during my divorce, which ultimately led me to seek new legal representation. From the beginning, I felt unheard, unprotected, and at times, dismissed. I began to question whether they were truly advocating for my best interests or just trying to close the case as quickly as possible. One key issue arose when I expressed concerns about my abusive husband's unannounced visits to my home. I explained the situation to Stephanie and Jason, detailing my fears based on the history of abuse. I hoped for guidance and support, but Jason advised against pursuing a restraining order, saying it wasn't necessary. Feeling unsafe, I took the matter into my own hands and filed the order myself, which was granted by the court. At the hearing, Jason suggested multiple times that I drop the restraining order, stating it might make the case "easier."
