DVLawyers AI Summary:

This law firm primarily focuses on bankruptcy and debt relief, providing essential legal support to individuals struggling with financial challenges. While their main practice areas do not directly address domestic violence, they could be particularly relevant for survivors facing financial instability as a result of abuse. Many victims of domestic violence find themselves in precarious financial situations due to economic control exerted by their abusers. This firm understands the complexities surrounding such circumstances and offers a compassionate approach to navigating the bankruptcy process. The tone of the firm appears to be supportive and understanding, emphasizing a commitment to helping clients regain control of their financial lives. Their messaging suggests that they are sensitive to the emotional toll that financial hardship can take, which is important for survivors who may already be dealing with trauma from their experiences. This firm seems to prioritize a client-centered approach, indicating that they strive to understand the individual needs of each person they represent. However, it is essential for potential clients to consider whether their primary need is for legal assistance with bankruptcy and financial issues rather than issues directly related to domestic violence, such as restraining orders or custody arrangements. While the firm may provide valuable financial guidance and support, survivors may also want to seek additional resources or legal representation that specifically focuses on domestic violence and family law matters. Overall, if you are a survivor dealing with significant debt as a result of abuse, this firm could be a good fit for addressing those financial concerns, but it is advisable to ensure that your comprehensive legal needs are being met.

"DO NOT HIRE JORDAN AS YOUR LAWYER! He won’t fight for you. He will try to find easier ways to resolve your case and tell you everything you want to hear. YOU ARE BETTER Alone THAN HIRING THIS MAN. I spent 9500 on a case that was never resolved, which honestly was way overpriced, but o was desperate so i took a loan. I have called and emailed his office so we can try to resolve it but he left me high and dry. He just wants your money. Run away as far as you can. I gave him a one star coz i get to talk to my kid whom i haven’t seen in 3.5yrs!! RUN RUN AWAY ANF NEVER LOOK BACK."

"I’ve been working with Jordan for almost a year on a divorce case. His communication has been terrible. He doesn’t give me any updates and doesn’t show up to our scheduled meetings. I finally decided to pay to review the status of my divorce and found out it was denied back in mid-December without any action taken yet. Him and his team are horrible and constantly blame each other for not getting in touch with me. I do not recommend him or his services. Avoid him and his team and work with someone who cares about their clients."

"Jordan completed my divorce process, but my experience working with him was subpar. He is a very friendly lawyer, and initially, he was attentive. However, most of the process I felt in the dark about actions taken, timelines and next steps, and options available to me. For many months while working with him, Jordan became quite unresponsive, to the point where I would send one to two follow-up emails each time before I received a reply, which frankly I feel is unacceptable for any professional. After many months of this slow communication pattern, I started to feel that my case was not a priority to him. It was clear he was not operating with urgency nor advocating for my best interest, as each month my divorce process continued, I carried significant financial burden (by law, I had to carry my ex-spouse's health insurance and file MFS on taxes.) I finally confronted Jordan about my disappointment and he started to act with more urgency. He was able to wrap up the process in a matter of months after that, however I am convinced that if it wasn't for me sharing my discontentment and pushing it forward, my process would still be ongoing. What really drove home this experience working with Jordan was the very end of the process, which was extremely disappointing. Jordan said his office would mail me a certified copy of the divorce decree, which was supposedly shipped out and should have been in my mailbox by the time I returned from holiday travel. This travel gave me a tight window to file the QLE with my health insurance and remove my spouse from my plan. However, when I returned home, the copy had not arrived in the mail, and weeks later, has still not arrived. Knowing I only had a few days to report the QLE, I emailed Jordan right away to see if I could get a digital certified copy in the meantime (received no reply.) Over the course of that week, I sent a follow-up email, a text message, and left two separate memos with his receptionist. As a client who paid over $7k in fees on time without any issue, the least I expected was a reply much less a simple acknowledgement from Jordan...but to this day I have not received a reply from him. Fortunately, I realized I could go on the LA court's website and order the certified copy myself (which arrived in 4 business days), but by that point, the QLE reporting period was closed and now I cannot remove my ex-spouse until the next open enrollment period. I'm astonished that weeks later, Jordan has still not acknowledged those emails/text/calls, apologized, or let me know that I could have gone to the court website myself...no response at all. I feel this is completely unacceptable for any professional, much less one to which you've paid over $7k in fees on time. The fact that I paid in full and he went silent beyond that quite frankly feels disrespectful. While Jordan finally got the job done, I would not recommend him to others due to lack of professional communication cadence and lack of client advocacy."
