"I would NOT recommend Mr. Sawatzky. I seeked Mr. Sawatsky's counsel after separation mediation (The mediator created all of our documentation and all I needed was pretty much a signature, my ex and I were not contesting anything). This was in December of 2022. After multiple emails and phone calls, and Mr. Sawatzky claiming he was waiting on my ex's lawyers. (Not the case). Finally his receptionist set up a phone meeting...yet when that time came, it was his receptionist telling me to go read my email. (Please note this was finally in May 2023). Mr. Sawatzky was trying to get me to go against my separation mediation, even though I specifically commented that it was not my wish on multiple occasions and the small risk of my ex not committing to an equalisation payment of $250/month was not a concern. (Please note our mediator and ex's lawyer had no issue with this) He then commented that he was not comfortable signing and ghosted me. He pretty much wasted my time for 6 months and $472. After all this, I found a new lawyer and within a week all my paperwork was signed. Funny how they had no issue with my equalisation payments. My coworker found out I went with Mr. Sawatzky and said he took absolutely forever and would not respond to communication. Beware: he will waste your time and money. I hope this helps others."

"Absolutely horrible, glad hes getting out of family law cause he ruined our life with his handling of our case. His mother is his legal assistant and will butcher your files if trusted with them. Good luck trying submit an affidavit on time. BUYER BEWARE."
