"My son was physically abused by my ex-wife and DCFS said he could stay with me while they investigated but instead because her new husband is a Chicago cop despite not living in Chicago a West Dundee cop (Schefler) filed parental abduction charges against me as well as visitation interference for following the instructions given to me by DCFS. The cop also lied saying DCFS told me to return my son to get the State's Attorney's office to file the charges but they never contacted me about anything after the abuse was reported. Chris Sparks was the one that handled the situation after I was unfortunately switched from a competent defender which was Nicole Salonen. Chris was barely doing anything and kept trying to convince me to take a deal while Nicole was happy to take this to court because she felt what happened was unjustified. His supervisor Brenda is far worse and should have been a prosecutor instead of defender since she actually had the nerve to say that I "should just believe what cops tell you" (because they claimed DCFS told them I should bring my son back to his mom) I found it funny that I had to point out cops are allowed to lie while in the course of their duties. Someone who's supposed to be a defender not to mention supervisor telling somebody someone should just simply always believe cops is disgraceful and she should quit or get fired and move on to being a prosecutor since that seems to be what she wants to do!! Don't trust this office to actually help you unless you end up getting Nicole Salonen because she was great."

"My grandson been incarcerated over 2 years. His public defender Michael Kereluk is not trying to help him. He throws racial slurs at him. They are refusing him a new lawyer. Trying to get my grandson to give in to what they want. The worst public defenders. He is refused new lawyer, a trial, and his witness. Don't ever get locked up here. They are racist"
