"3 years ago I was dealing with an extreme dv situation. I was hiding in a hotel with my son while my daughters were with their grandparents. I had to fund my own hotel as I had zero support while working on a restraining order and getting him served. He was very reactive and threatened to unalive me, my son, and my sons dad, so I could not go home but I was running out of money for a hotel. I was close to having to sleep in my car with my toddler to stay safe. They helped me get the RO as well as fund the hotel for a week while I figured out a new living situation. I will forever be grateful for the help I received while navigating such a hard time in my life. To any woman who has been abused and is reading this.. you matter. You are valuable and help is available if you reach out. You got this queen. I highly suggest reaching out to the justice center for support if you are lost."
