"I hired this firm for a family member originally based off their 5 star rating and the resume of Jessica one of the partners. Her straight forward candor and military back ground impressed me. Unfortunately we only talked to her once as she assigned the case to an associate named Alex Phipher. Alex seemed to be a nice enough guy so we proceeded using the firm for a criminal defense case. For months there was scattered communication and wild goose chases that were used to placate honest questions about strategy or status of the case. In fact was told by the office not to email Mr Phipher but to text a general office line. In my humble opinion "texting " is not a formal way to communicate. He canceled and needed to reschedule multiple appointments, and generally wasnt prepared for court. His communication ability was quite frankly embarrassing as he stumbled and mumbled to articulate a coherent sentence while addressing the court. I was mortified witnessing such incompetence or lack of preparation. The only reason I am leaving a 2 star instead of a 1 star is the eventual outcome was "ok" not great. I dont feel Mr Phipher had much to do with the outcome as this settled with a plea agreement orchestrated entirely by the prosecutor who was fair and could see the case for what it was."
