"I reached out to Dement Askew Johnson & Marshall LLP after seeing on their website that they handle unfair and deceptive trade practices and false advertising civil suits. Their website clearly invites prospective clients to contact them for these matters. However, when I spoke with Sarah Mosby and Jim Johnson, I was told the firm does not handle these cases. Jim Johnson went so far as to refuse to even schedule a consultation. He would not allow me to explain the facts of my case, got rude when I asked him to hear me out, and kept trying to dissuade me from pursuing counsel. I explicitly stated that I wanted to hire an attorney, and yet he dismissed me outright. It is both misleading and concerning for a law firm to advertise practice areas it does not actually serve, then refuse to even hear out a prospective client with a legitimate case. I don’t know why they denied me help, but I intend to escalate this matter. My interaction left me with the impression that the firm’s representatives and attorneys are neither client-focused nor aligned with their own advertising. I cannot recommend them."

"From the very beginning, I was treated with genuine kindness, respect, and understanding by attorneys Rusty, Alex and Tyler (& paralegal Kristy). The team was incredibly thorough, taking the time to explain each step of the process making a very stressful situation more manageable. Thanks to their skillful representation, my case had a far better outcome than I ever imagined possible. I’m deeply grateful for their dedication to the Raleigh community and would confidently refer anyone in need of legal help to this exceptional firm."

"I hired Tyler Ellenburg with one phone call. The next time I heard from him, my charges had been dropped."

"I recently experienced a situation in Raleigh, NC, where a friend and I were stopped by a state trooper while traveling on the highway. I was the passenger in the vehicle. During the stop, the trooper asked me to step out of the car, which required me to remove my seatbelt. I declined to exit the vehicle for two main reasons: I had done nothing wrong, and the passenger side was dangerously close to highway traffic. After I refused to step out, the officer asked for my identification. However, under the circumstances, I was not legally obligated to provide it, as I was not being lawfully detained. The officer then claimed I was not wearing a seatbelt—though I had only removed it when he asked me to step out of the vehicle. To add context, I live about two hours away from Raleigh, and I do not have a driver’s license or vehicle, which made attending court particularly difficult. On the day of my court appearance, while I was waiting in line at the courthouse to speak with the District Attorney, a gentleman named Mr. Tyler happened to overhear me explaining my situation to a friend. He kindly stepped in and offered to assist me with my case. His help truly felt like a blessing. At my first appearance, the DA was initially hesitant to drop the seatbelt citation. However, Mr. Tyler reassured me that by the next court date, I wouldn’t have anything to worry about—and he was absolutely right. Today, September 11th, I was unable to make it to court due to the distance. Mr. Tyler represented me in my absence and successfully had the case dismissed on my behalf. There are people who give true meaning to their profession, and Mr. Tyler is one of them. His generosity and willingness to assist—free of charge and on two separate occasions—speak volumes about his character. All he asked for in return was a review, and I am more than happy to provide one. Thank you, Tyler, for your kindness, dedication, and support. Your assistance made all the difference, and I’m truly grateful."
