"Scheduled a first meeting with Scott Joiner over the phone. Nice conversation. I went in today for said meeting and this was my experience: Me: opens door at about 3:55 Rather large secretary: gives me a look like I'm a stray cat who doesn't belong there Me: "Hi I have an appointment for 4" Secretary: "Name" Me: (thinking she was referring to the accountant) "His name starts with an S, I don't recall. How many accountants are there?" Her: (gives condescending look and shakes her head with a dismissive sigh to boot) "There are 2 accountants, I meant your name" Me: "Tim" Her: Shaking her head and condescendingly laughing "You're with Scott. Sit down" (Not "please have a seat" or even "have a seat") Me: Gives her a shocked look as in "why are you talking to me like that?" Her: Mocks me by giving me the exact same look back while not breaking her stare. This was at least 5 seconds of staring at each other. Me: "What is with the attitude?" Her: "I don't have an attitude?" Me: "Yeah you do. Why are you talking to me like that?" Her: "I'd be careful if I were you" (Imagine my shock at this point!) Me: Obviously getting angry as all I'm trying to do is have a meeting with a CPA and I'm getting threatened by some secretary: "Or what?!" Her: "Be careful" Me: "Oh yeah what are you gonna do?" Her: Picks up the phone as if to call the police or something Me: "Wow this is gonna make your company look great on Google reviews!" Her: "You need to leave" At this point another gentleman was coming out trying to defuse the situation Me to the secretary: "Unbelievable. By the way you need to lose a few pounds." Me: Leaves then turns around a couple seconds later and opens door back up: "By 'a few pounds' I mean about a hundred" (Felt good to say it at the time, but I should have just left) At that point Scott and the other gentleman approached my truck and talked to me as I was leaving trying to figure out what happened. They were both perfectly nice and Scott even asked me to have the meeting and explained that the secretary was "having a bad day". I told him he seems like a nice guy but I've already seen everything I needed to see from his company. Because Scott and the other gentleman were very professional, I am willing to delete this review when 1) an owner responds and acknowledges how outrageous the secretary's behavior was and 2) SHE gives me a SINCERE apology for her behavior."

"Scott and his team are absolutely amazing. They really know their stuff. This is my first year using them. They are very personable, responsive and a pleasure to work with. Every time I go in there I'm greeted by a wonderful Mrs Lowe. Scott handled both my personal and business taxes and both were done quickly once I provided all the necessary information. We will continue to use him in the future. I highly recommend him and his office. 10/10"
