"I consider myself very lucky to have found Attorney Lewin. He first represented me in early 2023 when a previous attorney had failed me which, almost cost my license for 5 years. Attorney lewin knew exactly what to do and went into court with me the following day. Due to his extensive knowledge he was able to propose a new disposition to the judge that changed everything and I was able to again have my license. I have contacted him several times since then regardimg my cori and DUI charge and related circumstances. Attorney Lewin has been able to resolve these issues each time. He has become my family attorney, when my 17 year old got himself into a few legal situations. Attorney Lewin handled everything each tme with a good outcome. Attorney Lewin works soley with you, he calls you from his cell phone even after working hours and on weekends as he works diligentley on cases. He was in touch constantky to clarify, ask for information and discuss details. You do not have to go through office staff or other attorneys. "If you are reading this, then like me, you've probably been charged with a crime, a serious crime. That was the predicament that I found myself in back in November of 2024, and I needed the best attorney that I could find. Attorney Bob Lewin deserves 10 Stars. I was charged with Assault and Battery, and Strangulation; I never committed this crime, yet this case would go to trial. After a two day trial. thanks to Attorney Lewin, the jury came back in no more than 20 minutes with the words that we wanted to hear, “Not Guilty”!!! If you are searching for a great Criminal Defense Attorney with extensive trial experience, then seriously look no further. Bob Lewin is literally one the best Defense Attorneys you can ever find anywhere in Massachusetts. Unlike some other attorneys out there who practice some Crininal Law, along with a host of other areas such as Wills, Trusts, Personal Injury, Real Estate, Family Law, Attorney Lewin specializes ONLY in Criminal Cases and I can personally attest to his expertise as I witnessed this first hand. If your freedom, your livelihood, and your reputation is on the line, you want the best attorney you can find and Bob Lewin is that Attorney. My case involved a woman who for years I had allowed for her and her boyfriend to stay with me. Drug addiction took over. This particular night, this woman became irate because I would not hand her money to buy drugs; she was literally in a drug induced black out that night. As she tried to pry my cell phone from my hand, I refused to release the phone. It was she who assaulted me that night when she started flailing at me trying to get my phone. Simultaneously, she and I both called the police. However, I was the one arrested even though I never laid a hand on her. You may soon find out, as I did, that he rules of evidence within the judicial system are very complex, and you absolutely will need a very experienced attorney to navigate through this legal process. It is not as simple as you telling your side of the story. Right away, I was advised that even if the accuser doesn't show up to court, the Commonwealth will likely go forward to trial with her 9-1-1 call by itself. The 9-1-1 call is deemed an “Excitable Utterance” and automatically admissable whether she shows up or not. Remarkably, it was explained to me that my own 9-1-1 call is not automatically admissable. Neither is her lengthy history of substance abuse and mental health issues. Even past surveillance footage of the woman violently assaulting me, and at another time her boyfriend both times while under the influence of drugs, necessariy admissable. It is not as simple as “innocent until proved guilty,” as it often seemed like the deck was stacked against me. My case did go to trial as preedicted. The accuser was nowhere to be found, yet the Assistant DA went forward with just the 9-1-1 call, and the testimony of the police officers who arrived that night. This is where Attorney Lewin demonstrated his wealth of expertise. Attorney Lewin completely outclassed this ADA. He was able to suppress testimony from the police as hearsay on what the woman allegedly stated to the officer that night. He was successful is getting both my 9-1-1 call entered into evidence, as well as a critical surveillance clip from the night before where the accuser was seen actually assaulting me with a TV remote that she bounced off the top of my head. Immediately upon the ADA resting her case, Attorney Lewin successfully motioned for the most serious charge of Strangulation to be dissmissed based on the Commonwealth failing to present any evidence under the statute; the Judge agreed. Then, under direct examination, I was able to testify sufficently of this woman's serious drug addiction for the jury to hear. I could not have been more impressed by the performace of Attorney Lewin throughout this entire two day trial. Bob is as good of a Criminal Defense Lawyer that you will ever find. I can not recommend Attorney Lewin enough."
