"I was represented by Mr. Kevin Westell in a criminal matter in 2024, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing considering the serious nature of the case and the fees involved. There were significant communication issues throughout the representation. I experienced long periods—sometimes weeks—without responses to my emails, even during critical moments. After I was taken into custody, my spouse was left without any communication or support from Mr. Westell, despite reaching out for guidance. As the caregiver of our 3-year-old daughter, she was left without any legal advice or direction on appeals or next steps, at a time when clarity and support were essential. To be clear, I was not expecting Mr. Westell to show compassion. What I expected — and paid for — was effective legal service and communication. Given the cost of the representation, I truly believe I would have been better off representing myself. This review is provided to help inform others seeking legal representation.
