"Absolutely horrifying! This shelter is a disgrace. Staff, including the director Dionne are hostile and unprofessional. They pocket all food donations, violate HIPAA rights, & mistreat service animals—forcing me to lock mine in a room for 24 hours. They refused to show footage when someone tampered with my dog’s water bowl. Instead of supporting residents, they antagonize them and create a toxic environment. They changed my exit date multiple times out of retaliation for contacting corporate. They called the police on me to 'escort me out' 5 hours before my departure. Stay away from this place, FAR FROM PEACEFUL!"

"I was there because of domestic violence but from the start they discriminated against my service dog and me. After a few weeks of being treated poorly by the directors and most of the staff, I involved the ADA. At that point, they retaliated against me. They refused to help me transfer to another shelter that would help me, and two days before I was to be released from the shelter, they wouldn't help me with the housing they'd dangled in front of me from the start. In the time I was there, I saw many other women in the same situation, being treated similarly. If you need DV services, go to another county where someone might help you."
