"Paulette was an exceptional attorney, and I am incredibly grateful to have found her. I hired her about eight months after my petition was filed, following the retirement of my original counsel. The preceding months had been marked by stagnation and a complete lack of progress. My former attorney had attributed this to the nature of family court in Illinois, a notion that Paulette immediately proved incorrect. From the moment she took over, Paulette demonstrated strong command of the situation and immediately began pushing for results. She and her partner are very knowledgeable when it comes to IL Family Law. They effectively restarted a process hindered by previous inexperience, ultimately leading to a favorable outcome within seven months. Paulette was the advocate I didn't realize I needed until I had her on my side. Should I or anyone I know ever require family law representation again, there will be ZERO hesitation on who I call or recommend. Thank you so much, Paulette!"

"I made a huge mistake when I hired this attorney for a difficult case. There are so many ways I could point out how unethical she was but I’ll stick to a few. Early on, I sent an email requesting an answer for a question that came up in my case. Her response was she wasn’t here to answer my questions. Thankfully, Google gave a far more thorough and intelligent answer than she could have done and they are a free service. Before one of my hearings, she said she had a death in the family and wouldn’t be at court but that her husband would show up to represent me. When, out of politeness, I asked him how she was doing with the loss of her loved one, her husband told me it was *his* dad that had died. She sent her husband to show up for her client’s court case when it was *HIS* dad that died. I could not tell if Ms. Grey was incapable, lazy or both. I question the accuracy of her billing based on several red flags that all seemed to be in her favor. Watch the clock and supervise her closely. I’m thankful I found a great attorney in Chicago that made Ms. Grey look even worse in comparison. Find a competent attorney that knows the law, answers questions, shows up to court and actually argues the case. If your case goes to trial, I would be wary for multiple reasons. Between the lack of preparation, contact and professionalism, as well as questionable billing, I don’t believe Ms. Grey is the best option. In fact, she would be my last choice. I’d represent myself before I would hire Ms. Grey. My billing would be accurate, my demeanor would be professional and I wouldn’t send my grieving husband to do my job. Google will provide better service than Paulette Grey ever will be and Google is free! Anyone but her!!"

"Paulette represented my significant other for short period of time before they parted ways. From my POV, she was extremely rude and talked down to him. I didn't see what value he was getting from the outrageous billables. Seeing how his new attorney was far competent (in my opinion), treated him better and the billables were much more reasonable. I would not recommend her."

"Paulette has been my family law attorney, counsel, and coach during a lengthy and high-conflict divorce. Her knowledge of the law and depth of experience provided me the foundation for completing a challenging process. She's kept my focus on what was realistic and possible, and helped contain my ex's outlandish claims and assertions. Paulette is a tough fighter, Paulette was also really concerned for my personal well-being. Should you need an excellent family law advocate, Paulette is an outstanding choice."

"I was referred to Paulette and was told that she was the best in McHenry County, and always ensures that her clients were treated fairly. Well this was an understatement. Paulette went above and beyond. Perhaps the thing that impressed me most about Paulette was nothing was "sugar coated". She was very straight forward, direct, insightful, and told me what to expect each step of the way. Going thru the separation and divorce from start to finish, Paulette kept me informed of each step and what the options were and what the risks were. There were no empty promises made just to keep the client happy which I know sometimes occurs when seeking counsel. Since this was the first time going through a divorce I had many questions and to be honest, a little scared. When calling the office, Paulette took the time to make sure I understood everything that was going on along with all of the ramifications of both side’s decisions and requests. She kept the entire proceeding on track and the other attorney on task. I cannot say anything but positive comments here in regards to the top notch representation that I had. Please contact Paulette. You will not be disappointed in your choice."
