"As an African-American woman and healthcare professional, I left this facility deeply disappointed. I arrived early for a cervical spine injection, yet overheard staff making dismissive remarks about me before I was even seen. The doctor never greeted me, gave no explanation during the procedure, and showed zero concern for my comfort. I experienced physical discomfort, was poked without warning, and felt something on my body that should not have been there. The nurse assisting was the only one who treated me with dignity and professionalism. The contrast in how I was treated compared to white patients I observed was stark and disheartening. No patient should ever feel ignored, unsafe, or disrespected—especially during a vulnerable medical procedure."
