About:
Susan has worked as a family law attorney for over a decade handling all areas of divorce and custody cases. Additionally, she has spent many years as a Guardian ad Litem in Washington. This role required hard work and dedication. During that time, she was called as an expert in several trials. She was subject to cross-examination and highly regarded by judges. As a result, she can process complex situations quickly. In addition to her experience, Susan takes a realistic approach with her clients. She will provide you with information to make good decisions for your future. Her top priorities are listening to her clients, providing sound advice and following through with the legal work to achieve those goals. “My clients will always know my analysis of where they stand in their case.” says Susan. Finally, Susan does not back down from a fight when she feels her client’s interests are not being addressed. She cares deeply about providing excellent legal work to her clients. Susan has lived on the East side since 2004 and takes full advantage of the Northwest. In her free time, Susan loves outdoor adventure and spending time with family. She also enjoys water skiing. As a member of the legendary Stoops family, competitiveness and perfectionism are in Susan’s DNA. Hence, her degree in law.

"After moving to Seattle 5 years ago from the east coast, I started looking for a new therapist and just gave up because the experience was so terrible. It took me forever to find someone I trusted/could identify with ...but a friend recommended I contact Susan earlier this year. So I did and by gosh, she was well worth the wait. She just totally “gets it” and “gets me.” Susan has a great sense of humor and has helped me realize SO many things about myself (most of then great things!). Balancing the extreme of being a “cheerleader” and pragmatist is hard - but Susan has it down to a science. I always leave her office feeling better, with practical takeaways I can immediately apply in my life. Most of the time, I have things I want to talk about at my appointments. But there have been a few times where she has just asked me about life and that’s segued into some great discussions that have led into deeper diving on things I had not consciously thought about, but are very much “in play” in my life. She is in high demand and I am only now writing this review because I finally scored a weekly slot :). I cannot say enough good things."
