About:

Modupe Sobo was born and raised in London, England. In 1993 she graduated from the University of Wolverhampton in England with a Bachelor of Law Degree with Honors LLB(Hons). In 1997 she graduated from Chicago Kent-College of Law-Illinois Institute of Technology with a Juris Doctorate of Law (JD). Less than a year after graduating from Law school, Modupe Sobo, began working for herself as a solo practitioner, specializing in the area of Family Law. She therefore handles divorces, both contested and uncontested, paternity, child support, visitation and custody. âI enjoy helping people get through what is often, one of the most stressful times in their lives. There is nothing more rewarding to me than having a client say a heartfelt Thank Youâ. Modupe is a Certified Arbitrator with the Mandatory Cook County Arbitration program, where she hears and decides civil disputes. She is also a Hearing Panel Member for the Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission, where she presides over attorney disciplinary proceedings. Modupe is a firm believer in the mantra âTo whom much is given, much is expected.â She volunteers at her church once a month, thereby providing legal advice and representation to people who are less fortunate. As a result of her work with her church legal clinic, Modupe has received a Community Service Award, from the Chicago Volunteer Legal Services. Modupe enjoys traveling, playing tennis and cycling.
