"If I could give negative stars, I would. One star is way too generous, especially Rachel Sedita and Judie Sadler. Hiring Diggs & Sadler was the most financially and emotionally draining mistake of my divorce. I’m an attorney, and even I was blindsided by their billing practices, lack of strategy, and refusal to advocate—unless it benefited their bottom line. Let’s talk discovery. My ex initially had a lawyer, then went pro se. Rachel claimed she sent a deficiency letter, but never filed a motion to compel. Meanwhile, I was forced to turn over 2,000+ pages of bank records dating back to 2015—even though I objected. They insisted I give it all to them “just in case” for trial. They charged me thousands to review it—then later admitted most of it was irrelevant. Too late. On the flip side, my ex’s financials were incomplete—missing months from key years—and we never got full discovery. It was the mediator, not my attorney, who finally demanded better docs. That’s unacceptable. Then came the trial prep scam. After my ex fired her attorney, Rachel told me we should oppose a continuance “just in case.” I agreed—no one warned me it would cost $16,000 in prep. They said, “Well, at least now you won’t be charged again later.” Lie. When trial was reset from Feb to April, I got hit with another massive prep bill. And that one got reset too. The April reset was understandable—but the Feb one was avoidable. If they had been transparent about costs, I would’ve agreed to continue the trial and saved $16K. We eventually went to trial, and it didn’t end in my favor. That’s fine—I’ve made peace with that. But what I haven’t made peace with is the representation. For example, the judge ruled I can never claim my kids on taxes—something I thought was part of our custody agreement. When I brought it up, Rachel had to check if it was in the MSA. She claimed she argued it at trial, but if she did, she’d have known it wasn’t in the MSA. That was a lie. I voiced my frustrations and said I was considering writing this review. A call was then scheduled with Judie Sadler. Within the first three minutes, I could tell she had no intention of listening—only defending. I even suggested we end the call. She insisted on continuing—but clearly didn’t know my case well enough to offer feedback. That didn’t stop her from pushing back on every concern. At trial, my ex reported only around $17,000 in assets. I brought up how she once told me she could put $50,000 down on a G-Wagon—and that her disclosures didn’t add up. Judie’s response? “Well, how do you know she wasn’t lying? Or that she didn’t spend it all?” Not “Let’s follow up,” or “Let’s get those documents.” Just excuses. Well, we’ll never know—because Rachel went to trial without ever confirming the accuracy of my ex’s financial disclosures. And Judie didn’t stop there. She even argued that the irrelevant, years-old bank records I provided could be useful—saying if I made $1M years ago, my ex could be entitled to $500K. That’s not how community property works. She’s entitled to a share of existing assets—not half of historical income already spent on life and taxes. The firm never filed emergency motions I asked for. They never held my ex accountable. 80% of the billed work was just staff reviewing my own documents, drafting trial exhibits, and sending emails. I did more to move this case than they did. When I complained, Judie accused me of “wanting them to work for free.” I paid over $100,000. That’s not free. That’s overpaid for underperformance. The truth is, this firm doesn’t fight for clients—they fight to bill. And while I can’t say for sure, I assume they adjust their entire model based on who is paying. If you’re the higher earner, they’ll bleed you dry under the guise of being “thorough,” while letting the other side slide. And if you’re not the higher earner, they may just try to rack up fees anyway—hoping the other side will be forced to foot the bill. Either way, it’s a billing machine. Bottom line: If you’re thinking about hiring them, DO NOT."
