Michael graduated from the American University Law School in Washington, D.C. where he worked for the Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. After law school, he was accepted to the New York State Bar and worked on Wall Street for AT&T in the Anti-Trust section of their Legal Department. In 1985, Michael decided to dedicate his career to the practice of criminal law and moved to Florida after passing the Florida Bar. He then worked at the Public Defenders office in Brevard County where he had over 100 jury trials. In 1989, Michael was hired at the Statewide Prosecutors Office in Orlando which functions as an elite task force targeting organized crime. For the next 13 years, his cases focused on prosecuting white-collar, high volume drug trafficking cases, racketeering, Medicaid Fraud, and wiretaps where he litigated over 100 jury trials. With Michaels's extensive trial experience and knowledge of the law, he became board certified in 1995, which is the highest level a criminal defense attorney can achieve.
