"Good luck getting through the receptionist to even get an appointment."

"The only reason this isn't a one star review is because my primary care physician was amazing and one of the best doctors I've ever had. Unfortunately, I can't even get in to see them because of 6+ month wait times. An appointment I've been waiting months for has been rescheduled twice (the second time on the day of), downgrading from a full-length in person visit all the way to a 15-minute virtual call. It is very dehumanizing and stressful. I highly reccomend looking elsewhere if you are in need of regular care."

"Terrible customer service. Not just this clinic, but the whole Meriter System. Do yourself a favor and sign your family up with SSM. This place does not put your health first."

"I recently transitioned from UW to Meriter Hospital, and while UnityPoint Health hospital has its merits, I would like to highlight several concerns: 1-Lab test costs: Lab tests at Meriter seem to be more expensive compared to UW. For example, routine lab tests like Thyroid, which were fully covered at UW, are only partially covered at Meriter under the exact same insurance. 2-Lab test scheduling inconvenience: Unlike UW, where you can walk in anytime for a test, Meriter requires you to call in advance to schedule a lab test. 3-Communication and order processing: At UW, communicating with your provider about a lab test results in a prompt order. At Meriter, however, you need to confirm the test and engage in multiple follow-up messages with the nurse to ensure the order is ready. Coupled with the scheduling inconvenience, this makes the process time-consuming. 4-Appointment availability when sick: UW allows for nurse appointments when you're sick, with a scheduled time to see someone. In contrast, at Meriter, you must call early in the morning or go over the weekend to check for availability. 5-My recent experience: I recently scheduled a lab test over the phone with a nurse at Meriter, drove 20 minutes, only to realize they hadn't scheduled my third lab test. This necessitated an additional 40-minute round trip. For individuals with busy schedules, especially those working, I would not recommend Meriter based on these experiences."
