"Horrible experience with mediation. She was biased and dismissive of our concerns. She mediated on the behalf of my wife's ex-husband who lied and was slanderous by stating that our home was dangerous and unsafe. Through mediation he insisted that visitation limits were made in order to protect the kids. My wife and her ex-husband had been divorced for approximately 5 years at this time, and both children had resided in her/our care approximately 5 out of 7 days per week. After 7 humiliating hours of mediation my wife and I expressed that his primary intent was to drop child support as evidenced by text message threats stating that he would pursue mediation if we did not accept his demand to drop support. These were presented during the mediation. She suggested we call his bluff and when we did, he immediately (within 15mins) accepted the offer to no longer pay child support and miraculously all safety concerns in our home dissipated. We were both speechless with the outcome. Once the offer was accepted we were rushed to sign documentation which included that we were not to bring it up again."
