"I recently went through a life-threatening situation and needed professional help. Melissa was recommended as a highly experienced lawyer, which I cannot deny. However, our first impression of her was not what we expected. We were greeted by the front desk lady and she was very kind and offered us water. She then told us Melissa was ready for us. When we walked in, she told us she had to fill out some things with another person before our consult (we arrived early) so we told her it was fine. Once done, she did not even introduce herself or even asked how we were doing. Although I understand it is a timed consult, I believe she should have at least greeted me (the client), my dad and sister. Being that I am young and it is my first time dealing with legal procedures, I am very naive and she asked for specific papers I did not know about. I had brought other documents that I thought she would want to read but she was not interested in that. I continued with my story and before I could finish it, she cut me off and said she would not represent me. Since we had already paid, we stayed. She was still very nonchalant, but I was able to get a little bit good out of it. I would not recommend Melissa as our first impression of her was unprofessional coming from a lawyer of that caliber, my expectations were high but I was let down by her."
