About:
I have been practicing exclusively Criminal Defense at the trial court level since June of 1997. During that time, I have had periods where I worked for several Criminal Defense firms and I have had period where I was court appointed on several thousand Indigent Criminal Defense matters. After the first years of my practice, I transitioned into handling privately retained matters and I have handled (almost) the entire range of Criminal Defense charges. I have tried cases as serious as Drug Manufacturing Labs and 3-Strikes Life cases and as minor as Petty Theft cases. I do not back down unless my clients want me to back down. I have worked on and settled matters as serious as Attempted Murder cases and have assisted on Murder cases but, I am very selective at this point in taking on high-level cases primarily out of concern that I cannot let it affect the clients I am already representing. As far as my educational background, I grew up in the Southern California area and got a B.A. in Philosophy from Cal State Long Beach and my Juris Doctorate at Western State SOL attending both their Irvine and Fullerton campuses. Throughout college and law school, I worked for the Los Angeles Times and was both a defense investigator and a certified law clerk for just under 2 years before I became a licensed attorney. From a hobby standpoint, I have been an avid motorcycle and boating enthusiast for most of my life although I probably should stop taking mechanical things apart and leave it to the professionals at some point. By far the best choice I have made in life was buying a dachshund puppy in 2004 although welcoming 4 more dachshunds into my family over the years might be a close 2nd?

"I found myself needing a lawyer to defend me for a mistaken drunk night out. After getting prices from lawyers that seemed COMPLETELY out of reach, I found Marc. First things first- his price was great. I met him and saw his passion for making sure people are treated fairly by the courts and got a good feeling. Marc worked magic. He was able to identify SEVERAL instances where my rights were violated, and my case was dismissed. He seemed to know the judge and prosecutors too which was a good feeling. This guy has a serious passion to win. He does not like to see the police or the courts get a victory of ANY kind! He doesn't answer the phone right away but ALWAYS got back to me same day and NEVER rushed the call. I have learned that a lawyer who doesnt readily pick up your call from 8am-4pm is a GOOD SIGN lol. It means they HAVE LOTS OF CASES AND ARE AT COURT lol. Just a joke my friend told me, but it seems true? Anyways- I would recommend my friends, neighbors, relatives, and even enemies to use this guy just based on his PASSION alone. He is truly ON YOUR SIDE. My family and I truly thank you Marc."

"Mark McBride is a fraud . He has swindled me out of a large amount of money. Took. My case over six plus years. Ago. Last year in October he got me a court date I could not make it to. So I asked him to please write me a letter for my job. STATEING he's my lawyer and is working on getting me a court date to get back my driver's license in the near future. He said he Could Not because that was a Lie! THAT WAS the last straw for me. I've asked for my money back that I paid in full with in a few months. He can't deliver in six plus years. Plus he never answers my calls or text. Always has an excuse why he hasn't contacted you. With stories of his personal life. Or ofhis other clients witch he's not supposed to. I'm about to lose my job because he hasn't done his. I'm a single father with three daughters that can't AFFORD to lose my job after six plus years of HOPEING this man would follow through with his side of the Deal we MADE. I will be taking him to small claims court. I went to his so called office in Santa Ana went to every door upstairs and downstairs checked the directory his name nowhere to be found. Don't trust him."

"I've referred many cases to Mr. McBride and every client I referred thanked me for it later saying they were extremely happy with his knowledge of the law and his aggressive representation in court. These clients were very happy with the results. My calendar was full and I was not available to accept their case when they called me. I will continue to refer cases that I am not able to accept. I referred a family member to him and he took it to trial. After the jury was impaneled and they saw he wasn't backing down....the case was resolved and the jury was dismissed. Another family member's case was resolved and he did not go to prison as the DA had wished. And he had a huge record so that wasn't easy."

"I was a little hesitant to hire mark on the basis of his affordability. It worried me I may be trading quality for cost. But after talking with him those worries melted away. My first meeting with him was in the visiting room at the Orange County Jail (Theo lacy Facility) at 8:00 pm on a weekday. After speaking with him for 30 minutes I knew I made the right decision. He was extremely well informed of my case, actually knew more about it than I did. Not only did he come prepared and informed but I could tell that he genuinely cared about the outcome, and me as a person, not just a client. When we went into the courtroom (CCB1) or the Community Court Building in Santa Ana, I immediately knew the chips were stacked against me and I most likely wasn’t going to get what I was asking for. The judge was against it, the DA was against it, even my PO called to tell them I wasn’t a good candidate for what I was trying to get...Drug Court. But he fought for me, with the necessary resources and I was able to get it against all odds. Now I’m out of jail and getting help with a lifelong drug problem. I would hire him again in a heartbeat if, god forbid the situation posed itself."
