Laurie Newmark is one of the founding partners at Townsend, Tomaio & Newmark. Since completing a Family Part judicial clerkship in 1998 with the Superior Court of New Jersey, Laurie has devoted her practice exclusively to family law. She is an experienced litigator who appears in court regularly in Northern and Central New Jersey. Laurie is admitted to practice law in the State of New Jersey, the State of New York, and the District Court of New Jersey. Laurie insists that every client be treated with well-deserved respect and compassion. Laurie and her team understand that they are advocating for mothers, fathers, husbands, and wives who are individuals with sensitive needs and concerns. She consistently strives to resolve matters in an effective manner, and provides clients with the ability to make informed decisions throughout their work together. Laurie attended an international comparative law program with American University, Washington College of Law. She also completed the prestigious American Bar Association Family Law Trial Advocacy Institute in Houston, Texas as part of her Family Law training. When not practicing law, Laurie is the proud mother of a son and a daughter. She has served on the board of trustees with CASA, an organization that serves as an advocate for children in the court system. Her extensive experience paired with her personal commitment to family and helping others makes Laurie an extraordinary advocate for her clients.

"Just hired Michael Fleres and so far he’s already given me more options than my last lawyer even told me were possible. I have a high conflict case and had trouble finding someone who actually took the time to listen until I reached out to this law firm. Consultation was free and by the time it was over I felt relieved that someone who knew what they were doing was going to handle my case the right way this time. I had filed the wrong application trying to represent myself and he is working on helping me fix that. So let them file, don’t file yourself. I don’t understand laws so it’s been a headache trying to get things right but I could tell this lawyer genuinely wants to. People in my circle had been begging me to find another lawyer and not give up and I’m glad I did because I was 2 seconds away from losing all hope until I spoke with this attorney. I’m excited that things will finally be made right. I know other lawyers are listed to handle high conflict cases with coercive control and harassment but this man here is the real deal. These lawyers will listen to you and fight for you. Tell them the truth and let them do the rest. Call them you won’t regret it!!!!!"

"Can I give less then 1 star? Worst law firm in NJ, forget about the associate attorney one of the owner Paul is terrible also. Took my 40% retainer money without doing single work. One of the owner sending rude email stating stop, enough this are the treatment you will receive from your attorney. So better find some other firm if you don’t want to waste time and money."
