"I called this office today seeking legal help for my divorce. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. Instead of being upfront and simply letting me know that they are not taking new clients, the woman on the phone asked me a series of detailed and personal questions about my situation. I opened up about a very difficult time in my life, only to be told after everything that they couldn’t take my case. This felt incredibly disrespectful and invasive. If you’re not accepting new clients, that should be stated clearly at the beginning of the call—not after collecting someone’s personal and emotional information. I felt blindsided and violated. It’s unprofessional and inconsiderate to lead someone on in such a vulnerable situation."
