About:
Kristin Padowitz earned her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Florida where she was a member of the Criminal Justice Honor Society. Subsequently, she went on to earn her law degree from Nova Southeastern University. Having gained experience in civil practice as well as criminal defense, Kristin had a desire to become a well-rounded lawyer. Because of that, Kristin Padowitz left the Broward County Public Defender’s Office to become a prosecutor at the Broward County State Attorney’s Office. During her time in the Broward County State Attorney’s Office, she tried upward of 75 cases, all in front of a jury, ranging from Capital Sexual Battery to misdemeanors, each helping to hone her skills as a trial lawyer. Kristin Padowitz is presently a member of the Broward County Bar Association as well as on a Florida Bar Grievance Committee. Kristin is also currently a member of The Weston Bar Association, Broward Women Lawyers Association, Federal Bar Association-Broward County Chapter, the Florida Bar and other organizations. Kristin Padowitz has now devoted her practice of law to helping those in need of a family attorney. Kristin eagerly advocates on behalf of her clients in need of a family lawyer in the areas of divorce, child custody, responsibility and support, alimony, equitable distribution, restraining orders and domestic violence, among others. Kristin not only utilizes her abundant legal experience in the representation of her clients, but also her kindness, compassion and humanity when it is needed most. But make no mistake – Kristin Padowitz has built her reputation within the legal community as an aggressive and talented trial lawyer who is not afraid to take a case to trial. Where circumstances require, for example, in a highly-contested divorce case, Kristin Padowitz provides zealous representation and is fierce in the court room.

"I spent over $20k and it was the worst representation ever. I paid for many hours for her office to go through my Financials meanwhile didn't compel the other parent to provide any. She shows up late to trial and provides horrible advice during trial and doesn't even address the key issues during trial. Then she takes it upon herself to file motions without my consent and when I told her not to she does it anyways and sends me another bill. After I fired her I mentioned I should file a complaint with the Florida bar. By mentioning exposing her to the bar, during our motion to withdraw she tells the judge I threatened her! Without having an opportunity to respond to her outrageous accusation I now have a judge who thinks I threaten people. $20k later my case is worse than before. This is a rogue attorney. I recommend picking ANY other attorney."

"I can’t say enough good things about Kristin. From the very beginning, I felt an instant connection with her—she was incredibly patient, empathetic, and kind. She supported me through every stage of this difficult and emotionally exhausting divorce. Kristin actively listened, was fully engaged, and truly cared. She offered thoughtful, creative strategies that made sense, and her guidance helped lead me to a resolution that my boys and I feel good about. She was always quick to respond—especially when I felt stressed or nervous—and has a calming, confident presence that consistently put me at ease. I also deeply appreciated the concern and thoughtfulness she showed toward my boys. It meant so much to feel like they were seen and considered throughout this process. I also want to thank and mention Denia, her assistant. She and Kristin worked relentlessly on my case toward an amazing outcome. Denia was kind, helpful, and incredibly on top of everything. They make a wonderful team, and I truly felt supported every step of the way. Overall, I am incredibly grateful for both of them and everything they did to help me through such a challenging time in life. I would highly recommend Kristin Padowitz—she is absolutely amazing!"

"Choosing the right Attorney is a arduous task. I don't think I could have chose better! She was very knowledgeable and experienced. She handled all filings most expediently, while always keeping an open dialog with me, either with, Text, Emails, or Phone calls. She was also a great Advisor to me with her years of experience. Thank you again Kristin!"
