"I had a consultation with Mr. Kalinsky and left feeling dismissed and judged. He seemed to make assumptions about my situation before hearing me out, and his tone came across as condescending and rigid. While he is clearly experienced (some parts of our conversation were very eye opening for me), I would have appreciated a more thoughtful and supportive approach. I came seeking legal guidance, not pressure or judgment."

"David Kolinsky called me today and quit. I asked him and begged him 18 times starting March 1, 2025 to today April 13, 2025 to have the money from the sale of mine and my ex's property that he is living in to be held in trust, get a preservation order, lis-pendens, caveat. I looked up all these ideas begging him to do something and he never. I also had my last MEP payment April 1, 2025 and I asked multiple times to get that renewed until our separation is over and he never did anything about it. Last week we had a meeting scheduled with another professional, along with my ex and his lawyer. My ex's lawyer canceled and David Kolinsky didn't even have the decency to let me know it was canceled. I emailed the other professional asking if I'm doing something wrong because I was still in the waiting room and the meeting didn't start. He popped on and said no one told you it was cancelled. Absolutely unacceptable behavior and I will be reporting David Kolinsky to the Law Society of Alberta. Beware everyone!!!"

"David is a good, no nonsense type of lawyer. He makes sure what needs to be done gets done without wasting time. That being said if you are there to see him you will be on a different timeline than the court system provides. Do not think even for a moment that your divorce is going to go fast and easy. Everyone starts of thinking "oh it's not going to be a big deal, we split amicably". If you are thinking that, are you in for a surprise. The person on the other side does not feel that way. The want to be sure you are hurt, both financially and emotionally. David will prepare you and ease you into that battle... Or you could be one of the 1% that it doesn't happen to. Either way, you'll be ready."

"I reached out a while back for a consultation regarding my family matter. I was told I would receive a call back from a lawyer to discuss. After several days of not hearing back, I reached out again and was told that somebody talked to me and the inquiry was closed. That did not happen. Once again, I was told somebody would get back to me and it never happened. It seems this firm has serious communication issues."
