"My son retained attorney Swinton for a case that had previously been dismissed by nolle prosequi back in October 2018. He found out March 9th, 2025, that the case had been re-opened for prosecution back in October, 2019. Since this happened in Arlington, Va. and we live in Nashville, Tn., he was never informed and had no idea he was considered a fugitive and a warrant had been issued for his arrest. Since he hadn’t been in any trouble since 2018 we were quite confused about how this could happen. His previous attorney referred us to Ms. Swinton, who graciously took on his case. She informed him on what he needed to do and let him know she would be right there. He had to fly from Nashville to Virginia to turn himself in. She had already talk to the bail bondsman, who knew the situation and was ready to post his bail. We arrived in Virginia Sunday evening March 23rd. He turned himself in on Monday afternoon, March 24th and she was right there with him through the whole process. She was able to meet with the magistrate that day and got him set up for arraignment at 9:30 the following morning Tuesday the 25th. At the arraignment she asked the prosecutor to dismiss the charges, since it didn’t make much sense to anybody why he was even there. The initial arrest was 2018! The prosecutor agree, the judge signed off on it and we were back in Nashville Tuesday evening. That’s what I am talking about! She communicated with us on everything and kept us informed. She didn’t miss a beat. The representation she provided was worth every penny and then some. We owe her a debt of gratitude. I highly recommend Attorney Swinton!"
