About:

Kate Lebenzon is a highly skilled criminal defense attorney with extensive experience in both advocacy and legal research. At Kraut Law Group Criminal & DUI Lawyers, Kate has successfully argued numerous motions that have led to case dismissals, and she passionately represents clients in contested hearings and during negotiations with prosecutors. While earning her law degree at Pepperdine University School of Law, Kate interned with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, where she built strong professional relationships with prosecutors in various specialized units. After graduating, Kate spent four years as a Law Clerk and Research Attorney at the Criminal Writs Center of the Los Angeles County Superior Court. She reviewed habeas corpus petitions submitted by inmates across California and prepared legal memoranda and judicial orders for judges at the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center. This position sharpened her legal writing and research skills and deepened her understanding of post-conviction legal procedures. Driven by a desire to engage more directly in client advocacy, Kate joined Kraut Law Group, where she now defends clients in a broad spectrum of criminal cases. Whether it's DUIs, drug offenses, domestic violence, violent felonies, or sex crimes, Kate is a tireless advocate throughout every phase of the criminal justice process. Her exceptional writing skills have contributed to key victories, including winning complex motions for mental health diversion, military diversion, and judicial diversion—often resulting in the dismissal of serious charges, even those carrying potential prison time. Kate’s unwavering dedication to her clients, sharp legal acumen, and commitment to justice have earned her a strong reputation as a formidable and effective criminal defense attorney. Kate handles cases including white collar, domestic violence, violent crimes, thefts, fraud, robbery, burglary, assault, battery, arson, sex crimes, & DUI. View More ›
