Family Law, Criminal Law, Juvenile/Dependency

About:

As a former prosecutor, I understand the complexities of working a case inside and outside a courtroom. Having experience working in cases involving investigators, law enforcement, civilian witnesses, evidence departments, parenting coordinators, guardian ad litem coordinators and attorneys, Department of Children and Families’ case managers and attorneys, as well as counsel for other parties, I have been able to understand and have the ability to work towards the resolution of any situation, in my covered areas of law. As a current Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator, as well as, an attorney for children (Attorney ad Litem), I am able to understand the seriousness of the handling of a family law case, whether it is an adoption, guardianship, paternity matter, dissolution of marriage, timesharing and/or parenting plan establishment, child support establishment and/or modification, as well as a dependency and/or domestic relations case. Furthermore, my passion for criminal law allows me to be an advocate for those individuals charged with a crime to ensure that their due process and constitutional rights are protected. I am also fully bilingual in English and Spanish. I also attended law school at Florida A&M University (FAMU), College of Law, located in Orlando. While in law school, I was invited to become a member of FAMU’s Law Review. I graduated cum laude from FAMU’s College of Law and ranked in the top 12% of the total class. After graduation, I worked, as a prosecutor, at the State Attorney’s Office for the Fifth Judicial Circuit in both Marion and Lake County. I strongly believe that every person deserves to have representation and consider myself to be an advocate for those in need of help.
