"I was referred to Joy via a former coworker, and took refrence without doing research. Worst thing I ever did. I was completely ripped off and filling a grevance with the board of ethics. I hired Joy in February with a 3500 retainer and was told to her at time of being hired that it was being lent to me and I could not spend more, she assured me it shouldn't be more but if is we can work a payment plan. During this time that she was representing me the only other phone conversation we had was due to payment n was a short 5 min conversation any other interaction was via email never met her in person and seemed like she did as minimal work as possible. We have not even made it to court yet and have paid an additional $2400 in payments was threatened now 2 times to pay a certain amount or she would drop my case I paid the 1st threat $500 now this last threat went from paying $600 to then if I don't pay $2500 because her partner wants her to drop my case. In total she was paid $5900 never went to court and now withdrew herself from case when scheduled for court in early December. I advise EVERYONE STAY AWAY FIND ANOTHER LAWYER SHE IS A SCAMMER AND GONA HAVE CHARGES AGAINST HER SOON BY BOARD OF ETHICS. And the only reason I put 1 star is because it won't let me do less."
