Jonathan Blecher has defended over 5,000 DUI and Criminal cases since 1982. Jonathan earned his Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice in 1978 from the University of Florida, and his Juris Doctor in 1981 from the University of Florida College of Law. A former Assistant State Attorney in Miami, Jonathan is a member of the Florida Bar, and is admitted to practice law before all Florida courts as well as the Supreme Court of the United States, the United States Court of Appeals, Fifth and Eleventh Circuits, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, and the Eastern District of Michigan. He is a member of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers of Miami, the National College for DUI Defense, NORML, and has served as a Judge for the University of Miami Law School Moot Court and Mock Trial Competitions. Jonathan Blecher is AV-Rated by Martindale-Hubbell and is a Florida SuperLawyer. "Jonathan Blecher is a miracle worker. I was arrested for a DUI in January 2025, did not blow and was in the middle of a trauma blackout wherein I wasn’t the most pleasant person with the police. The case would have probably lost at trial. I was defending myself, and Jonathan reached out when I contacted several referral services. (The other attorney who contacted me through the referral service was a jerk from Sarasota who belittled me and tried pressuring me to give him upwards of $8,500) Although climbing Everest might have been easier than convincing a jury this arse was actually innocent- we decided to give it a shot. For a very reasonable fee, Jonathan was able to get the charge reduced to a reckless, 6 mo probation, and no license resuspension. I am a tough pill to swallow at times, but Jonathan stuck with me and made a miracle happen. He even quipped that he’s never had a client quite like me. Jonathan is professional, and has the experience of being a past ASA. I recommend him wholeheartedly."
