About:
I am committed to providing my clients with tireless representation for their criminal allegations in Clark County and the Las Vegas area in Southern Nevada. I believe in the importance of prompt and open communication throughout the attorney-client relationship, ensuring that my clients truly understand the process they are experiencing. I have been practicing law since I earned my Juris Doctor from the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, in 2002. Throughout my college experience, I was an active participant in legal activities, putting my previous education in political science to good use; I participated in the moot court team and Juvenile Justice Legal Clinic at the Boyd School of Law and gained valuable experience at a variety of organizations outside of school, including the Nevada District Court, Clark County District Attorney's Office, United States Attorney's Office, and other local establishments. As a criminal defense attorney in Las Vegas, I am focused on resolving his client's cases related to all forms of criminal allegations, including drunk driving / DUI charges, administrative driver's license suspension, traffic violations, violation of probation or parole, drug or marijuana possession or distribution, domestic violence charges such as battery domestic violence with strangulation, spousal abuse, or child abuse, theft, robbery, kidnapping, unpaid casino markers, solicitation or pandering of prostitution, open lewdness, and a variety of other charges. I am a member in good standing of several associations, including the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the National College of DUI Defense, Nevada Attorneys for Criminal Justice, and the Las Vegas Anti-Defamation League. Some associations have individually recognized me; I was credited with Outstanding Service and Leadership by the Nevada Attorneys for Criminal Justice and have an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.

"I wasn't even a client of this place and they helped me. Who does that now-a-days? Lady who answered the phone made me feel 1000% better. Really good company, I rarely come on here to say that. TYSM."

"2024 was the hardest year of my life. March 2024 I found myself facing two charges with the minimum of 2 years jail time to the maximum of 25+. as a single mother of 2 who Lived in Kansas City Missouri at the time , I felt helpless. My friend recommended Joel because he helped her brother tremendously 2 years before to my situation. After doing my research then calling his office i met an angel named Maria! She was so helpful , understanding , kind but yet still diligent! She made this experience so much easier , after dealing with a PD for a few months who treated me as if I was guilty , Maria was a breath of fresh air who’s voice alone gave me hope in my situation. I never met Joel until my preliminary hearing ( due to us being 1700miles apart) but he handled everything perfectly over email and phone. Joel got me the best deal i could have ever imagined in my situation. No jail time , no probation , just a 1500$ fine and to stay out of trouble! I cried happy tears for 2 days straight! I am so grateful for Joel and Maria! After my preliminary Hearing , overly satisfied with the outcome I then decided to get married at the same court house on the same day! Joel and Maria be on the look out for an invitation lol! Thank you both a million times over and over again! 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED"
