About:

Joanna graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Washington in 2006, and graduated with honors from the Seattle University School of Law in 2016. While in law school, Joanna served as a judicial clerk for The Honorable Theresa M. Pouley, the now-retired Chief Judge of the Tulalip Tribal Court. Joanna also published an article that analyzed how tribal domestic violence convictions could potentially be used in subsequent federal criminal proceedings. Prior to joining Lyons & Associates, P.C., Joanna had the honor of working as an appellate law clerk for the Honorable Susan L. Reisner, P.J.A.D. In her clerkship, Joanna reviewed, analyzed, and recommended outcomes for appeals of various family matters including DCPP related abuse and neglect and/or termination of parental rights cases, child support, and domestic violence. "I used Lyons and Associates for my estate planning documents. Everyone there was a pleasure to deal with, their fees were reasonable, and the turn-around time was excellent. I highly recommend them. They truly are the lighthouse in your storm."

"Lara DiFabrizio represented me on a VASPA matter and was fantastic! Lara is an ex-judge and experienced attorney who is equally well-versed in the law and courtroom strategy. She guided me through every step of the process and pointed out things I hadn't thought of, which really helped my case. I highly recommend Lyons & Associates and Lara DiFabrizio in particular. Best attorney experience I've ever had by far!"

"I definitely do not recommend this firm, as a business owner I always give the full price in an estimate and break it down clearly, they handled a small case for me and I feel subcontracted it to a lawyer who called me a few times and did minimal work filing a paper on the computer and was told not to fight the case just pay it , so they did nothing for me, they got a 2,500.00 retainer then a month later are telling me I owe them over 2,000.00 more, I would never use or recommend them, it seems they do not really handle business cases, it was just not fair the way it was handled."

"Extremely satisfied with the service provided by Marissa Del Mauro during the adoption process for my daughter. Marissa was extremely efficient with time and kept me apprised to all relevant information while simultaneously managing to avoid racking up unnecessary legal fees (which from my experience is something lawyers are very good at doing). This adoption was initially presumed to be a simple process but got dragged out because it became contested. Marissa was diligent in handling the facts of this case to still manage to make it a painless process. During the case, Marissa had to take maternity leave so she coordinated a time for me to meet with her and the new attorney who would take over my case, Kevin Ku. I cannot say enough wonderful things about both Marissa and Kevin. They are both exceptional lawyers who truly seem to be invested in the case they are working. There was not one time during this process that I did not feel confident in my decision to work with them."

"Lyons & Associates is my go-to law firm. Most recently, Maureen Vella provided excellent advise and guidance in my sale of an investment property and potential purchase of a 1031 replacement. She is knowledgeable extremely efficient and highly responsive as is her paralegal, Elissa Kelly. Both are a pleasure to work with."
