"When a member of your family is accused of a false allegation and is facing sanctions that can effect the rest of their lives, retaining the best counsel for the job is critical. We did our due diligence and hired the best legal counsel for our issue. Jeremy Saland is that lawyer. Jeremy is a fierce and brilliant litigator who understands the system. Our issue was a Title IX case, which requires a very specific set of skills. Jeremy immediately jumped into action and quickly began to unravel a complex situation with multiple witnesses and hundreds of pages of statements. Jeremy put together a strong defense and strategy to unwind false statements, lies and fabricated situations. During the hearing, Jeremy picked apart every nuance of the false allegations and in cross examination, exposed the lies and unfounded claims. When the decision came back from the Title IX panel, Jeremy's incredible work won the case. Just as important as having brilliant legal counsel, is to have a person who is understanding and communicative. Jeremy is always available and kept us up to date on every aspect of the case. "I cannot begin to explain how frightened and scared I was when my husband called me to tell me he had been detained by the police at JFK airport. Not realizing the law in New York and accidentally having taken his firearm with him from Florida on a boat he sailed to NYC for training, TSA stopped him when he put his bag through screening to fly home. He had no intention of hiding anything or breaking the law but the port authority police handcuffed him and took him into custody for what was an honest mistake. Fast forward, my family found Jeremy. He was calm and reassuring during one of the most difficult times in our lives. He explained what he thought would happen and how he would get past the felony charge without serving jail time. He even was able to maintain my husband's clean record, clean! Jeremy never promised a result but he did promise he would work hard. Though he was busy at times he answered all of our questions (sometimes we would tag team with questions) and calmed our nerves. Most importantly, in the end Jeremy delivered just like he said he would. The lesson that is most important is don't forget to take any weapons out of your bag when travelling through the airport (especially in New York!) The penalties are real!!! The second lesson is if you do, consider Jeremy. My family and I are glad that we did!"
