About:
I moved to Jacksonville in 2009 after spending my childhood in the Tampa Bay area. I earned my Bachelor of Arts from the University of Florida and continued my education at Stetson College of Law, where I focused on Trial Advocacy and received a Certificate of Concentration in Advocacy from their top-ranked advocacy center. Additionally, I obtained a Master's in Business Administration from Stetson University. Before joining Wood, Atter, & Wolf, I worked as an Assistant State Attorney and Assistant Attorney General in child support enforcement and the Ethics Bureau. I also represented foster children aging out of the Florida foster care system at the Guardian Ad Litem Program. My trial experience in the public sector has equipped me to represent clients from diverse backgrounds in their family administrative law cases. In 2024, I established Erlinger Family Law to continue providing strong legal advocacy for families seeking to resolve their disputes, both in and out of the courtroom.

"I had Ms. Erlinger as my attorney and for final trial she did well considering the fact that I hired her only 3 weeks before. However, when she put together the final order for the judge to sign there were mistakes and issues within the order that she refused to fix or change. Dealing with a high conflict parent I knew this order was going to prompt a contempt hearing which it did but once final trial was over Ms. Erlinger totally went ghost and would not respond to phone calls or emails. The other parent filed an appeal which I had to hire an appellate attorney for. Letting him know the issues I was since having with Ms. Erlinger he reached out to her himself to talk to her about covering the litigation part since he only does appeals. Through the appeal process she was great and very aggressive even threatening opposing counsels attorney that she will go after him personally for fees since everything he was doing was just to have a negative financial impact on me. She was a totally different person. After asking her several times to file a motion for contempt she finally did but only after I cc’d my appellate attorney in on the email. At the contempt hearing half of the issues weren’t even brought up. The judge ordered a few things in the final order to be changed, things that I originally said would be an issue but 4 months later she still didn’t put together or submit to the judge the changes. So that was a complete waste of time and money. Due to this prolonged litigation I occurred so much debt, ruined credit and lost my job. My house was ordered to be sold and continuing to reside in Jacksonville was no longer financially possible or in the best interest of my child due to many other factors as well. For 2 months Ms. Erlinger promised to file a motion for relocation but never did and never had any intention to. She has purposely put me in a very bad situation where I am now scrambling with little time to get back in front of the judge for a relocation hearing. After asking several times to file as this is causing a huge delay and her either making excuses or just not responding I finally asked her to withdrawal from my case so that I can file the motion on my own. She literally refused to withdrawal! She has also refused to provide me with a sworn affidavit of the funds that I already paid to her so that I could present that to the judge when asking for the other party to reimburse my attorney fees. I am shocked at such unprofessional, spiteful and vindictive behavior. I filed the motion myself and that’s when she finally filed her motion to withdrawal. Beware. If you have a quick and easy case that involves minimal effort I’d recommend her because she does know her stuff. My case was extremely frustrating and complicated with the other parent having an attorney that was just brutal and relentless. But seriously if only all attorneys could be like that guy especially the ones getting paid. You’ll see her in many Facebook groups commenting on posts from people looking for an attorney or her family members recommending her on those posts and then you will also see many people telling you to steer clear of her due to their experiences with her as well."

"Love my Jennifer. She is straight to the point no chaser and no hidden fees. Didn’t feel like she was a waste of time and only seeking money. She actually looked out for me a few times. I don’t regret hiring her and would recommend her to anyone going through a divorce. Our first initial conversation was pleasant and she made sure I understood the process. It was like talking to a friend. Her assistant Michelle is always pleasant and seemed so sweet and friendly. Her price was lower than my significant other attorneys price so that was a plus. Glad she represents me. No complaints"

"Jennifer is absolutely amazing! She’s doing an outstanding job at helping me through one of the most difficult times in my life. She’s a go getter, a “bulldog” in the court room and can get the results you’re looking for! I can’t thank her enough, will recommend her to everyone and will continue to use her if I need her :) P.S. Her Asst., Michelle is awesome too!"
