He is a member of the Memphis Bar Association, Tennessee Criminal Trial Lawyers Association, American Trial Lawyers Association, and American Society for Pharmacy Law. He is licensed to practice in all state and federal courts. He was the 1992 recipient of the Memphis Bar Association Pro-Bono Lawyer of the Year award. "It appears as if he should stick to what he does best: divorce settlements. As for criminal defense, his arrogance and lack of empathy unsettled me enough to seek counsel elsewhere. He can scoot around in a pair of cowboy boots, but from what I observed he's all hat and no cowboy."

"Worst lawyer in history. He just took my $2500 which my case was in Bartlett and in 4 months he gets my case sent 201 poplar. When I asked why he said because Bartlett courts did it. Then had the nerve to ask me to rehire for downtown. He is a fraud and a scammer. He actually did nothing for me period. I don’t wish nothing bad on people but karma is real."
