About:
I spent the first 8 years of my practice in the Dallas County District Attorney's Office in its Trial Division. There I tried over 300 cases to final verdict before juries and hundreds more bench trials, motions, and probation revocations. I took all that experience into the private practice of law which has now lasted 35 years. Thus equipped and trained, I have applied those skills to expand into civil litigation while continuing to practice criminal defense. I maintain membership in the State Bar of Texas College, which means I take 30 or more hours of Continuing Legal Education each year in order to stay current and maintain proficiency in the many areas of law in which I practice. Denton County has been my home for more than 30 years, which has allowed me to become very familiar with other attorneys, our Judges and prosecutors in that county and the surrounding counties. The Hayes, Berry, White & Vanzant Law Firm has been in existence since the 1980's and carries a proud reputation of preparation, persistence, knowledge of the law, and ethical representation of each client.
