About:

Jeanie has been a licensed attorney in Michigan since 1993 and has spent more than two decades utilizing her legal degree at law firms, non-profits, and corporate entities. Jeanie began her practice in 1993 at Culver, Knowlton, Even and Franks, practicing in the areas of corporate and real estate law. After several years in that capacity, Jeanie left private practice to join the Child Abuse Council for Muskegon County, serving as Executive Director for over five years. Jeanie managed a budget of over $600,000 and 10 employees and expanded services for children throughout Muskegon County that had been physically and sexually abused. In 2010, Jeanie left as Director of the Child Abuse Center to more fully engage in teaching and training. She taught at Muskegon Community College and Baker College in the areas of human services and business law and management, utilizing her business acumen from private practice and her non-profit experience. Jeanie then took her teaching and development experience to UFP Industries where she developed and operated their corporate university. She held that role for five years until she elected to return home to Muskegon and once again engage in litigation support and firm management. Jeanie brings years of training and business experience to her role at Tabono Law. In addition to her wealth of knowledge, she is a trained civil and family law mediator, rounding out the incredible resources that she can provide to clients and the Western Michigan Legal Community. Regardless the job title or business type, what ties all of Jeanie's vast experiences together is the opportunity to work with people to help them achieve their goals. Jeanie is married and has two daughters. She tries to spend as much time as possible outside: walking, hiking, swimming, and skiing.

"I used to speak highly of HealthWest and didn’t understand why others had negative experiences. However, after a HIPAA violation a couple of years ago involving a front desk employee and inappropriate comments made during a recent assessment for a minor by a worker named Carly on July 8th, I can no longer support this facility. Additionally, the departure of Jennifer Swanger— who was a key reason I held this facility in such high regard — has been a significant loss. What once felt like a safe space for those seeking mental health support now feels like an environment lacking compassion and sincerity, and instead marked by judgment, insensitivity, and a lack of consideration."

"I’ve been to many therapists and psychiatrists some good some not so good but all were at the very least trying to do well for their patients. That sadly is not the case for healthwest, specifically dr. Jawor, I had been evaluated by many doctors and ones hired by the state for my disability claim years ago, I had many many mental health evaluations on record all saying relatively the same things, ptsd, ocd, adhd and acute and general anxiety. However when i finally got an appointment to see the psychiatrist, which required 2 prior appointments to even set up, I found not just a women who was indifferent to my problems. No she actually seemed to want to make me feel worse. First off when I got to appointment there was a paper sitting on the table that she never touched while I was answering basic questions that they called a psych evaluation however it was very very shallow in terms of what information it asked, barley asked anything about my past, and I when I tried to add to certain questions with extra information for context I was cut off each time by the doctor and told this was her diagnosis! I went along with this as I’ve encountered doctors who were arrogant but still caring, which if competent I can accept arrogance, however as the evaluation went on it became clear that was not the case with this women. Instead of the usual diagnosis I’ve gotten from many well trained and respected doctors she came to the conclusion after less than 50 mins of speaking with me that I had an eating disorder because I had decided to cut down on my food intake and started exercising and lost approximately 100 pounds in a year. She also concluded that because I was drinking a monster energy drink that was the cause for my anxiety without ever asking if I’d been drinking them for very long or how frequently, she just made massive leaps in logic and when I tried to provide more context when I believed shed drawn an incorrect conclusion I was always cut off very quickly and made to feel as if my opinion and my thoughts were not relevant. I am prescribed a fairly high dosage of a benzodiazepine that I have been on for over a decade I acknowledged to her that I know it’s too much and I shouldn’t have ever begun taking them but I also said without them I’d experience extreme withdrawals possibly death, which she didn’t disagree with but preceded to mention multiple times that they were a problem despite the fact I had a primary doctor that was and would continue to prescribe them so I wasn’t even expecting her to continue that medication but she insisted I shouldn’t be on it and whoever gave it to me was irresponsible despite how I explained it to her. And then after I answered all the questions on her so called psych evaluation she concluded in opposition to many more experienced doctors who had evaluated me in the past that I had bipolar disorder, and autism which no doctor but her had ever suggested and I strongly disagreed with, but when I tried to provide context as to why I didn’t believe those two conditions to be present she cut me off and told me again this was her diagnosis! Then the paper I’d mentioned earlier which had not been touched from the moment I walked into the room was handed to me with a list of medication on it already before she’d even spoke to me or asked me a single question this paper had already been written. Every drug listed was either ones I’ve been on before and responded poorly to which I explained or were ones in the same class at least. I went there for help with my extreme adhd symptoms which are negatively impacting my life daily as I told her, she refused to treated the adhd even though she diagnosed that as well and instead insisted I try as mood stabilizer or ssir both of which I’ve been on before and was in my medical records how poorly I’d responded so I said politely I can’t take those and she told me she couldn’t help and left room immediately"
