About:
My family has proudly practiced law in Texas since 1896. My great-grandfather, James C. Wilson, was a United States District Judge in the Northern District of Texas for 32 years. My grandfather and uncles were also attorneys. My brother practices law in Houston. With an undergraduate degree in criminal justice, I have a different perspective regarding police investigations and their ability to get the “facts” right. I know where to find faults in their investigations, which ultimately aids me in the representation of my clients. With over 30+ years of experience in criminal defense, I know how to get the best result for my client. My practice is limited to criminal defense in both state and federal court. I am committed to zealous representation of my clients in all cases. I have tried many complex cases in both United States District Court and state court. My work ethic for my clients is second to none. As the past president of the Tarrant County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association (TCCDLA), I am deeply involved in bar activities locally and statewide. My practice is statewide, and I have tried many cases outside of Tarrant County. I have an excellent working relationship with the judiciary across the state. If you need a tough, well-respected attorney who meets personally with each client and works zealously within the bounds of the law to defend each client, call my office for a free initial consultation. *Admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court *Admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit *Admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas *Admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas *Admitted to practice before the Texas Supreme Court *Member of the College of the State Bar of Texas View More ›
DVLawyers AI Summary:
The Law Office of J. Warren St. John focuses primarily on criminal defense, including charges such as DWI, white collar crimes, drug offenses, and federal investigations. With over 30 years of experience, this firm has built a reputation for providing strong, aggressive representation for clients facing serious legal allegations. Their approach emphasizes thorough understanding and explanation of clients' rights and options, which can be crucial during complex legal proceedings. The tone of the firm appears to be assertive yet compassionate, recognizing the stress and pressure that clients may experience when dealing with criminal charges. They offer a free initial consultation, which indicates their willingness to listen and assess your situation without immediate financial commitment. This could be particularly helpful for survivors of domestic abuse who may need to discuss sensitive matters in a supportive environment. However, it’s important to note that while this firm is well-equipped for criminal defense, they do not explicitly advertise services related to domestic violence or family law issues such as custody or restraining orders. If you are a survivor seeking legal help specifically in those areas, it may be beneficial to look for a firm that specializes in family law or domestic violence cases, as they can provide tailored resources and support. If your needs align more with criminal defense related to domestic abuse situations, this firm may still offer valuable assistance.

"Unfortunately, I would have to agree with the rest of the bad comments! I have in faith tried my best to be very patient and very understanding but I have given this attorney $5000 for him not to ever talk to my son and all were asking for is a simple conversation and some help that I thought that that’s what we were paying for. every time I call I have to call 10 times and I get the runaround But when it’s time to make a payment they do answer and they do take the payment. I wish we could have a better outcome. I wish he would be more sympathetic and understanding just because people make a mistake don’t They have to be mistreated."
