Raised in Greenville SC. James H. Price IV was born and raised in Greenville, SC. After high school, he earned his Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of South Carolina where he was a member of a national honors fraternity. James later earned his law degree from Charleston School of Law in 2011. After graduation for law school and passing the South Carolina Bar exam, James took a public job as an Assistant Solicitor with the 13th Circuit Solicitor’s Office in Greenville County SC. This position gave him unique insight into the criminal justice system. He learned to manage hundreds of cases from initiation to conclusion, with many cases going to a jury trial. In his five years as an assistant solicitor, and was able to get far more courtroom and trial experience than he would have amassed if in private law practice. He prosecuted dozens of different types of misdemeanor and felony cases, which honed his courtroom skills. However, his objective was to move into private practice with his father & sister at Price Law Firm, P.A. This occurred in 2016. James is a member of the Greenville County Bar Association, the South Carolina Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the Greenville Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

"Fantastic. Four years ago my husband was accused of speeding along another charge in a nearby small city. Because of the work my husband does had we not had a skilled attorney my husband would have lost his license. The issue with that is his license is his business and with me 8 months pregnant when we went to trial it’s was all or nothing. We have three other children we couldn’t take the chance on not having an income. We expressed this to Mr. Price. He DID NOT sell us a dream, he was thorough l, gave our options and stood with us till the end. Our case was pushed out for years due to COVID. On the day of court, all we had was a really great attorney and faith. We prevailed thanks to Mr. Price whom was able to get the entire case thrown out due to the police not having inaccurate paperwork.
