"I had a terrible experience through my divorce largely in part due to this attorney. Poor communication, inability to state the facts and/or give advice... more concerned about himself than his clients. Mr Bock lacks communication skills, empathy, and is unorganized. Has his clients do most of the work though doesn't hesitate to charge. Once my divorce was settled I was promised a certain amount of money from equity from my house and was shorted a significant amount... he back dated things that he allegedly didn't charge me for in the past. I would not recommend this attorney to anyone going through a divorce. My divorce ended in July... I waited to write this review until now to be sure my frustrations were in fact largely related to his counsel and they certainly are."

"I had a very upsetting experience, when I hired Mr. Bock, as my attorney. I hired this attorney in 2013/2014. He made many grandiose promises, concerning my family court case. (I have a very violent and abusive ex-boyfriend and father to 2 of my children; he was seeking more placement time. ) He bailed on me, when our court case was just about to go to trial- because I couldn't pay him $8000 up front, to represent me at the 2 day trial. I had to represent myself and then he decided that I "owed him" $1000 , for his terminating of the representation. When I refused to pay him extra funds for zero services, he proceeded to ask me: "Do I need to slap your p*$$y to get this through your head?" I said "excuse me? " He then asked " Do I need to slap your a$$ for you to understand me?" I hung up the phone. He immediately called back and I declined the call, sending it to voicemail. He left a message in a very angry tone, saying the same vulgar phrases written above. The words and actions of this attorney, were very upsetting and have impacted me greatly. He is now threatening me with additional court costs and hearings/litigation."

"We hired James Bock for a family law issue. I had contacted several other attorneys prior, wasting time and money. Bock was honest, aggressive and reasonably priced. I highly recommend him and would hire him again."
