"My family had never encountered the legal or judicial system until the past two years, which have involved ongoing court cases that were repeatedly delayed. At first, we were unsure whether to hire a private attorney or go with a free Legal Document Assistant (LDA) due to the specific circumstances of our case. Financially, we couldn't afford a private attorney for the first case, but we felt comfortable placing our trust in the LDA assigned to us Jenae Rusch. Jenae proved to be incredibly knowledgeable and dedicated. She gave her all, truly putting in her blood, sweat, and tears to ensure we received the best possible outcome. Thanks to her hard work, we achieved a resolution that exceeded our expectations, and I am forever grateful for her commitment and support. Unfortunately, a second case was opened not by choice, but Jenae understood the circumstances and stepped in once again to help us. This time, we considered hiring a lawyer due to our experience with the first case. However, when I met with several attorneys, I quickly realized many of them did not have our best interests at heart. Some seemed more focused on money than on truly helping, and since my incarcerated family member couldn’t meet with them, I felt unheard and undervalued. They often jumped to conclusions and painted worst-case scenarios, which left me feeling uneasy and distrustful.
