"I hate to leave a negative review, but I want to save someone from experiencing what we went through. Alex Gillie was hired to represent us in a custody case. Her lack of confidence alone is enough reason to not have her represent you in important court cases. She cowers to other attorneys and stumbles across her words. Alex Gillie does not have the best interest of her clients in mind because she is not confident enough to stand up to opposing attorneys and fight for what is right. Each time she appeared in court, she looked sloppy and unprofessional in her attire and grooming. Everyone has to start somewhere, but Alex Gillie is in the wrong field. She showed up multiple times to scheduled court hearings completely unprepared to represent her client, leaving us feeling helpless. It was so bad, that she flat out said she was not prepared and my husband was left with no option but to represent himself on TWO separate occasions. Please do not put yourself through the mistake of hiring Alex Gillie. She is the opposite of who a person would need going to battle for something as important as child custody. I feel sorry for anyone who has made the mistake of hiring this unprofessional and inexperienced individual. Some people do not have the funds to hire a new attorney after realizing what they are dealing with, so save yourself and look elsewhere. I have heard Heather Kaemmer is amazing and comes highly recommended. If you can get her, GREAT!!! But do NOT settle for Alex Gillie if Heather Kaemmer is not available to accept your case."
