About:

Gregory D. Simms

DVLawyers AI Summary:

The law firm of Murphy & Associates, led by attorney Greg Simms, specializes in criminal defense, with a focus on various serious charges including DUI, assault, sex crimes, and homicide. While the website content heavily emphasizes criminal defense topics, it does not explicitly outline experience or specialization in domestic violence or related family law matters. The tone of the firm appears to be candid and straightforward, with an emphasis on advocating for justice and fairness within the legal system. Attorney Simms expresses strong opinions on cases involving victims of violent crimes, indicating a desire to address injustices in the judicial process. However, the content also reflects a more combative approach to legal issues, which may not resonate with survivors seeking a gentle or deeply empathetic touch. For survivors of domestic violence, it is important to consider whether this firm’s approach aligns with their specific needs. If you require a lawyer who is trauma-informed and has specific expertise in navigating the complexities of domestic violence cases, this firm may not be the right fit. However, if you find yourself facing criminal charges and need a vigorous defense, Greg Simms could be a strong advocate. Ultimately, it is recommended that survivors carefully assess their own needs and comfort level when considering legal representation from this firm.

He even took a moment to help me with a seperste issue. I would recommend Mr Simms to anyone in need of an honest and upfront atty any day of the week. Thanks again, Greg. "Greg absolutely made everything easy to understand. A long case situation but he knew more than the state and he knew how things were projecting at each step. When I got that call that my dui was dropped, I knew it was worth all the days and conversations hard at work"

"I don't think I can say enough to be able to express the level that Mr. Simms is at, but I will try. I have been in Law Enforcement for 20 yrs, prosecuted I don't know how many cases, and have gone up against hundreds of Defense Attorneys. I have to honestly say that Mr. Simms is the most impressive and knowledgeable attorney I have ever had the pleasure to meet and work with. Specifically his knowledge of DUI Laws and training is well beyond 99% of most Police Officers, other attorneys, and prosecutors. The way he handles himself in the courtroom is amazing. I was falsely arrested for a DUI by Oldham County Police and Mr. Simms had my charges dismissed. Even when dealing with a dirty prosecutor he kept his composure and handled my case better than I have ever seen or heard of. If you need an attorney you would be doing yourself an injustices by now retaining Mr. Simms. He will be my lawyer from here forth until the day he retires. Thank you Mr. Simms, it was an honor watching you work!"
