About:

Attorney Gary D. Sparks is an accomplished lawyer who has successfully provided legal services and representation to families, husbands, wives, parents, military service members, and same sex partners for nearly two decades. Gary was a regular guest for several years on the former Ronn Owens Program on KGO-AM 810 in San Francisco, and has been interviewed by local and national publications in addition to publishing several of his own legal guides. Gary graduated first in his class from John F. Kennedy University School of Law, where he was awarded magna cum laude honors for excellence in academic achievement and received numerous scholarly awards. He clerked for the Family Law court while in law school and served as the managing editor of the Law Review. This background, combined with his own highly contested custody case as a divorced father which inspired him to attend law school, gave Gary valuable insight and experience into the inner workings of our legal system, flawed as it may be. Gary enjoys legal research and analysis, and is highly skilled at presenting oral argument in court. He is active in community service and is an ardent supporter of students in public education. He is a recipient of the Unsung Hero Award for his past efforts with the Vanished Children’s Alliance to locate, recover and reunify missing and abducted children with their families. In these uncertain times, Gary is committed to providing his clients with the peace of mind and some certainty in knowing that their assets will be preserved for their families, and that their last wishes and instructions will be clearly established and then followed. And through the use of smart technology, he can perform many services virtually, and even meet with clients via video conferencing, to keep everyone safe and healthy during the current health crisis. "Gary Sparks is a wonderful family law attorney! He has been our family attorney for over 10 years! We’ve had numerous amounts of broken court orders for visitation rights for grandparents over the years! He has always been so helpful and always so empathetic towards our situation. He’s always fought for us. Our family highly recommends Gary Sparks! My son is incarcerated and he has helped with my sons rights as a parent also! We are so thankful and thank God everyday we were able to find Gary Sparks. Our whole family is so great full! Thank you."

"I'm a process server that was hired by this law firm to serve papers. Never received payment. All calls were answered by a virtual assistant/call center and messages were never returned. I've given up trying to collect and am now just writing it off. This is a warning to other process servers."

"Hired Gary to do a simple “fill in the blanks” living trust with some limited trustee help. At first he seemed to be readily available answered the phone the same day and even scheduled a consultation a couple of days later. However that changed immediately after we paid him his extremely high flat fee. We were lucky to have him return calls/emails within two or three weeks after numerous contacts. I basically had to threaten to report him to the CA BAR and with litigation to even get him to do his promised service. It would have taken me less time to just do his job for him. On top of that he gave my sibling really bad advice as trustee. Luckily I was able to talk her out of listening to Gary. Unfortunately Gary is just a typical over priced, over rated California attorney. I will be glad when AI replaces them all. They are just like financial leeches charging outrageously high fees for little in return."

"I can give him a 3 star for courtesy and letting me atleast sit a couple minutes but he didnt even listen to the whole thing he just decided right away it wasn't up his alley . He kept stopping me in mid sentence to clarify it wasnt for him so I just thanked him and left because clearly he wasnt going to hear me out or help me .he made it clear he only deals with family matters"
