About:

Edlin Martin is a founding partner of MacKay & Martin, LLP. Her practice focuses on family law and estate planning. Prior to founding her own practice, Ms. Martin was a senior family law associate attorney, where she specialized in litigation of high-conflict family law issues such as domestic violence restraining orders, move-away cases, and child custody and visitation arrangements. Ms. Martin has devoted much of her career to helping children and other victims of violence in family law and related immigration matters. Ms. Martin is particularly proud of her contribution to the drafting of California bill AB-1678, which was signed into law in 2016. The bill expanded the right of victims of violent crimes to get a free copy of their incident report from law enforcement agencies. Ms. Martin also focuses her practice on estate planning, where she helps clients craft meaningful and effective estate plans tailored to their individual needs. She is always current on the most recent changes to relevant law and understands their tax implications. Ms. Martin is a skilled attorney with a proven track record for delivering client satisfaction. She believes her role as an attorney is to advocate strategically for her client’s interests and fight fiercely to achieve the best results possible for her clients. Edlin attended Southwestern Law School where she earned her Juris Doctor. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from California State University of Northridge.
