I am attorney Donald J. Kilfin. I own and operate The Kilfin Law Firm, P.C., a St. Petersburg area criminal defense and DUI firm representing clients throughout the Tampa Bay area. I earned a four year Honor's Bachelor's degree from Trent University, one of Canada's top undergraduate institutions. From there, I relocated to St. Petersburg, Florida to attend law school at Stetson University. It was my first choice, among many options across the United States, based on its national reputation for trial advocacy and legal writing. I graduated in 2000 with a juris doctor degree and was published, that same year, in the National Dean's List and Who's Who Among American Law Students. Following graduation, I passed the Florida bar exam, on the first attempt, and accepted a position with the Pinellas County state attorney's office as a prosecutor. I served in that capacity for six years, and conducted over sixty jury trials including DUI, domestic battery, burglary, armed robbery, drug trafficking, arson, and murder. I was thereafter employed as a partner at Hessinger and Kilfin Law in St. Petersburg, one of Pinellas County's most successful criminal defense and DUI firms. In 2012, I took the Georgia Bar exam which I also passed on the first attempt. In 2013, the Kilfin Law Firm, P.C. was born. In my capacity as owner, I work relentlessly to obtain the best possible results for clients charged with DUI and other criminal offenses throughout the Tampa Bay area. The Kilfin Law Firm, P.C. is the result of a quarter century long journey toward the mastery of this craft. The provision of affordable legal services, of the highest quality, is the foundation of this practice. This is my life's work, and there is nothing I take more seriously than my clients' legal problems and how I will resolve them. As a client, I will always give you everything I've got, in terms of time, experience, and grit.

"Donny is literally a miracle worker! This man saved me from going to prison. I had enough points that I scored out to mandatory prison time. When I hired Mr Kilfin I already knew he was a very good lawyer. But even he couldn't make any promises. He said "I'll do my best to keep you out of jail." Well he delivered me a miracle with probation. He got the judge to depart from the guidelines of mandatory prison time. This guy has so many connections in the courts. He went in there and got me the best deal and he did it quick. I can't say enough good things about Donny. He's not just a lawyer. This guy actually cares about his clients. He was literally worth every penny and then some!"
