DVLawyers AI Summary:

The office of Dr. Carlos J. Lavernia focuses on orthopedic surgery, specializing in hip, knee, and shoulder replacements, as well as robotic-assisted surgeries and revisions. Dr. Lavernia is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with extensive experience, having performed over 10,000 joint replacements throughout his career. His practice is characterized by a commitment to advanced surgical techniques and patient education, ensuring that individuals receive the highest standard of care for their musculoskeletal conditions. The tone of the practice is professional yet approachable, which may resonate well with patients seeking a compassionate and understanding environment. Dr. Lavernia emphasizes not only the technical aspects of surgery but also the importance of restoring mobility and improving quality of life for his patients. His dedication to innovation in orthopedic care, combined with his experience in developing new implants and surgical methods, allows him to provide personalized treatment options tailored to each patient's unique needs. For survivors of domestic abuse who may require orthopedic care, it is crucial to consider whether Dr. Lavernia’s services align with their specific needs. While the firm does focus on surgical solutions rather than legal matters, his experience and empathetic approach could potentially benefit those dealing with physical injuries resulting from violence. However, it is important to note that if legal guidance or representation is necessary for issues related to domestic violence, such as restraining orders or custody battles, this practice may not be the appropriate fit. Survivors should seek out legal professionals who specialize specifically in those areas. Overall, while Dr. Lavernia provides a high level of orthopedic care, survivors seeking legal support should look for law firms that focus on domestic violence advocacy.

"He is an excellent doctor. He performed a knee replacement on me the same day. I walked. May God take care of him and give him good health because God has placed in his hands a great talent to help people. Blessings to him and his family and many blessings to all his team who are very kind and loving with their patients. Thank God first of all for putting them in my path. God bless you all."

"Told me it was my spine after giving me cortisone shot in hip that didn’t help. Went to spine doctor and said no it’s your hip. Had a very successful total hip replacement with Dr Sabeh @ Mt Sinai."

"Even though I attended a consultation with my mother, who is an older woman, he did not want to give me his opinion on the diagnosis because my mother did not want to have surgery. Since he was not the one who was going to operate on her, he would not give me his opinion. I asked him more than three times to please give me his opinion, but he refused to give it to me. I left the consultation without his opinion. And he was always in a bad mood during the consultation and was very rude."
