About:

Coretta Anthony-Smith is a native Floridian, born and raised in Naples, Florida. After graduating from high school, Coretta attended Georgetown University where she earned her B.S. in Marketing. The Orlando Neuropsychology and Counseling Center offers specialized services aimed at providing thorough psychological assessments and counseling for individuals of all ages, including those impacted by trauma and developmental disorders. The team, which consists of highly-trained professionals, includes licensed psychologists with expertise in various areas such as neuropsychology, family therapy, and developmental disorders. Their approach emphasizes a trauma-informed and empathetic tone, recognizing the unique struggles faced by individuals, particularly those who may be coming from backgrounds of distress or hardship. While the firm primarily focuses on psychological evaluations for conditions like ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, dementia, and cognitive dysfunctions, it also provides supportive counseling services. This holistic approach is designed to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning, ensuring that each individual receives personalized care. The environment they create is welcoming and sensitive, making it easier for survivors to discuss their experiences and seek help. If you are a survivor of domestic abuse seeking psychological support or evaluation, this center could potentially be a good fit for you. However, it’s important to note that while they provide valuable psychological services, they may not directly handle legal matters related to domestic violence, such as restraining orders or custody issues. Therefore, if your primary need is legal representation, it may be beneficial to consider additional resources or professionals who specialize specifically in domestic violence legal cases. The supportive atmosphere at the Orlando Neuropsychology and Counseling Center, combined with their comprehensive evaluation services, makes them a valuable resource for survivors looking to understand themselves better and find a path to healing.

"They made me drive an hour to the office only to have a zoom meeting with the doctor in their office. This literally could have been a zoom meeting from my home."

"I went to this practice because the Neuropsychologist my neurologist referred me to was backed up. I was having cognitive issues and was concerned about early onset alzheimer’s. I mentioned that several of the test questions seemed to have a political bent to them. Despite a history of seeing therapists and psychiatrists over my 57 years with no such diagnosis, in one 3 hour test session with no diagnostic questions their test resulted in them deciding I was bipolar. I only met with someone administering a test. I did not meet with a doctor. There was no followup to explain the results, some of which my score was in the 18th percentile. I felt the test questions i am mentioning, in themselves may have been harmless, this event was almost a year and a half ago and it still troubles me. It wasn’t a good experience for me. I have taken almost identical tests as a volunteer subject in clinical trials in the past several years and never left with such a feeling."

"There’s a reason they have a low rating and complaints. Can’t speak to a doctor even after a diagnosis. Currently in the process of getting my son tested again (due to the same tests that were completed by this office not at all matching) and have decided to go through a different testing facility for further evaluations. This place is clearly just about the money and nothing else."
